Before the weekend was out, Woods would put in one of the most remarkable efforts of his brilliant career. Tied with Rocco Mediate after 72 holes, the duo went to an 18-hole playoff Monday. Mediate held a one-stroke lead heading into the 18th, which saw Woods birdie for the third sudden-death playoff in U.S. Open history. It took only one hole for Woods to claim the championship as he parred the 7th hole while Mediate notched a bogey. It was Woods' 14th major championship and his most recent. This designed piece features two images of Woods one of him focusing before a putt and one of him following through on the same putt during that epic weekend.
